Join our team as an Inventory Clerk in Charlotte, North Carolina, and play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving goods, documenting stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring that inventory records are up-to-date. This position demands meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics setting. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and management to identify discrepancies and implement solutions to maintain optimal stock levels. A commitment to Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all established procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to handle and move inventory, which may involve moderate Lifting, is also a necessary component of this role. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Accurately record inventory movements and stock levels in the inventory management system.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas.
- Monitor stock rotation and identify items nearing expiration or with quality issues.
- Assist with stocktaking and audits.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and warehouse policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper PPE usage.
