Join our thriving logistics operation as a Forklift Operator in Kansas City, Missouri. We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is vital to the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are transported safely and effectively. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, picking and staging orders, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. A strong commitment to safety protocols and proper equipment operation is paramount. Your role will directly support our shipping and receiving departments. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage.
- Move and stage inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment.
- Accurately pick and transport orders.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all logistics procedures.
- This position involves significant lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, with certification preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety regulations.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material flow.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Experience with logistics operations is a plus.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
