Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments according to company standards.
- Create and manage shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents.
- Schedule and confirm pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Accurately check outgoing items against customer orders before dispatch.
- Maintain up-to-date shipment tracking information in our systems.
- Keep accurate and organized records of all shipping activities.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external customers about shipment status.
- Ensure packages are properly secured and labeled for safe transportation.
- Follow all established safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Support inventory control activities and cycle counts as directed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping clerk, logistics, or similar role is required.
- Knowledge of common shipping carriers and their processes.
- Proficiency with shipping software and standard office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Capability for light to moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
