Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments for delivery.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various freight carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of items being shipped against customer orders.
- Update shipment tracking information in the relevant systems.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Communicate with internal teams and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure packages are correctly packaged and labeled for safe transit.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is required.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle light to moderate lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and workloads.
