We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials within our facility, ensuring that goods are handled efficiently and safely. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our logistics network, requiring physical stamina and a keen eye for detail. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other manual or powered equipment.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and locating materials.
- Pack and unpack materials as required.
- Inspect equipment and materials for damage or defects.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- Practice proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good understanding of material handling procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and adhere to all safety guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good communication skills.
