We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials within our warehouse facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading goods, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring materials are organized and accessible. This position is crucial for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting our overall logistics objectives. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in an organized and safe manner.
- Assist with inventory management and stock checks.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
