We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our Houston, Texas facility. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is vital for efficient logistics and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling stock levels, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations. A commitment to safety, including proper Handling and Lifting procedures, and the diligent use of PPE, is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Reconcile stock levels with system data.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage and organize warehouse stockroom areas.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Operate inventory control equipment such as scanners and forklifts (if certified).
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including safe Lifting practices and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
- Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related warehouse role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
