Job Summary:
Are you a motivated individual looking for a rewarding role in a busy distribution center? Our Houston, Texas facility is hiring a Picker/Packer to manage the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This role is critical to our supply chain and requires precision, speed, and a strong work ethic. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, packing them securely for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. Attention to detail is crucial to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, capable of meeting production targets, and committed to upholding our high standards for quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using order sheets or scanning devices.
  • Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
  • Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
  • Label packages correctly for shipping and ensure all necessary documentation is attached.
  • Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests.
  • Operate packing equipment such as tape machines and box erectors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
  • Meet or exceed daily productivity and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, standing, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours if required.
