We are hiring certified Forklift Operators to join our growing logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with accuracy and care.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations.
- Transport materials to and from various departments or workstations.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
