Join our vibrant team in Atlanta, Georgia as a Material Handler! We are seeking individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to our efficient logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is stored correctly and readily accessible. Your physical stamina and attention to detail are key to successfully managing the flow of goods in our fast-paced distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Sort, organize, and store materials according to established procedures.
- Pick and stage materials for outbound shipments.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material movement.
- Support overall warehouse operations as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
