Join our vibrant team in Seattle, Washington, as a Material Handler! This position is essential for the smooth movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. We are looking for individuals who are physically fit, possess a strong sense of responsibility, and prioritize Safety in all their tasks. This role is a cornerstone of our Logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and products.
- Inspect materials for damage or defects.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated locations.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Understanding of Logistics principles and warehouse operations.
- Must be reliable and have a good work ethic.
