Our Washington, D.C. distribution center is seeking motivated Pickers/Packers to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders and then securely packaging them for shipment. This position requires speed, accuracy, and a meticulous attention to detail to ensure our customers receive the correct products in excellent condition. You will play a vital role in the efficiency of our Logistics operations. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This job involves significant physical activity, including constant walking, standing, reaching, and Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety is crucial; you must strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear the designated PPE at all times. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package selected items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Use scanning equipment to track inventory movements.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking and packing station.
- Meet or exceed daily picking and packing performance targets.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures to prevent injuries.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow in Logistics .
- Inspect products for damage before packaging.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to accurately pick and pack items quickly.
- Comfortable with constant walking, standing, and frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to using appropriate PPE .
- Basic math skills.
- Understanding of Logistics processes is beneficial.
