Join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as an Inventory Clerk! This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, a cornerstone of our logistics operations. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and ensuring that all inventory movements are accurately recorded in our system. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to identify and implement improvements to inventory control processes. Maintaining an organized and efficient stockroom is a key aspect of this position. A meticulous approach to data entry and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures are vital. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is paramount to ensure a safe working environment. While not as physically demanding as some roles, occasional lifting may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system data and physical stock.
- Ensure accurate recording of all inventory transactions (receipts, shipments, adjustments).
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Assist with stocktaking and other inventory-related projects.
- Identify and report any issues with inventory accuracy or storage.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper stock rotation and organization.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role is required. Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Good communication skills. Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory best practices. Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
