Talent Acquisition Advisor

This role will be based in Mississauga, ON on a 12‑month contract.

Responsibilities
  • Manage full‑cycle recruitment while ensuring compliance.
  • Understand the business and execute sourcing, recruitment, and selection to meet business hiring needs.
  • Assess recruitment needs of functional managers and serve as their business partner.
  • Educate hiring community on recruitment and HR processes.
  • Ensure recruitment processes support business objectives and advise innovative solutions.
  • Interpret requisitions to attract appropriate talent and provide market intelligence.
  • Use innovative techniques for talent identification: internet search, social media, campaigns, referrals, cold calling, networking.
  • Develop specialized candidate pools by studying competitor trends.
  • Maintain candidate pipelines to keep talent pools up to date and maximize efficiency.
  • Attend career fairs and industry events to stay abreast of market changes and network.
  • Utilize applicant system and tools to track recruitment activity.
  • Achieve established yearly objectives and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with sourcing partners and vendors for aligned deliverables.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance the recruitment process.
  • Participate in weekly recruitment meetings.
  • Lead awareness of SNC‑Lavalin in the market via social media and networking.
  • Work remotely with the business and recruitment team.
  • Manage a high volume of requisitions and changing priorities.

Ideal Candidate
  • University degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a full‑cycle recruiter, ideally in engineering or construction.
  • Experience in a project‑oriented Engineering & Construction environment is desirable.
  • Experience in fast‑paced, dynamic, direct‑recruitment methods and complex hiring processes.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills, delivering value‑added client experience.
  • Proven ability to attract new talent and manage candidate pipelines.
  • Proven ability to run candidate campaigns, cold calling, networking, and company representation at events.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle competing priorities.
  • Strong computer and systems skills, knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Mentoring and coaching skills with a mature outlook to problem solving.
  • Self‑starter, able to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English; French/Spanish is an asset.
