  • Assisting lawyers with legal documentation for private M&A transactions and corporate restructurings;
  • Preparing and filing corporate documents for BC and Federal entities: incorporations, reorganizations, name changes, amalgamations, continuances, restorations, dissolutions, transparency registers, and more;
  • Preparing and filing documents for partnerships, limited partnerships, business names, and extra-provincial registrations across Canada;
  • Supporting BC societies and federal not-for-profit corporations;
  • Conducting records book reviews and preparing corrective documentation;
  • Managing filings with the BC Registrar of Companies and Corporations Canada;
  • Creating and maintaining virtual records books, including scanning and digitizing physical records;

  • Supporting the corporate team with administrative and clerical duties as needed.
What You Bring

Experience with Appara (post-ALF migration) and a demonstrated ability to use its features to support complex corporate reorganizations will be considered a strong asset.

  • a seasoned corporate paralegal with at least 10 years of experience in a paralegal role;
  • highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • technologically savvy, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite , NetDocuments , or similar DMS platforms;
  • a confident communicator who can work independently and collaboratively;
  • able to mentor junior team members in a respectful and supportive manner, contributing to a culture of growth and collegiality
  • passionate about continuous learning and professional growth.
What We Offer

At Nexa, we believe in taking care of our people. Our benefits include:

  • Extended health, dental, and vision care;
