Position Summary
The Project Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the process and procedures utilized to provide internal and external customers with the best experience and ensuring a high level of service and professionalism is provided. This position is responsible for leading, coaching, and strengthening the team while creating the best processes and internal controls to ensure project completion is achieved to the satisfaction of the customer. Overall, ensure orders are processed efficiently and customer queries are attended to in a timely manner, meeting customer deadlines and requirements while supporting the company's mission.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a single-point-of-contact for project coordination, high level work for internal and external stakeholders and maintaining accurate records of correspondence
- Enforce policies and standards for managing project scope, quality, and timelines
- Set clear priorities and goals for the team to keep projects on track
- Establish performance metrics and reporting cadence to monitor project health and ensure timely delivery of customer commitments
- Create strong communication systems so information flows easily within the team and across departments
- Work in collaboration with Sales, Purchasing, Logistics and Production to ensure product flow through and to fulfil and satisfy customer order completion and managing deliveries to deadlines
- Resolve escalations quickly and remove any roadblocks that slow down progress
- Build and develop the team, providing coaching and support for growth
- Ensure accurate documentation and data management, of current and new customers, including updates and corrections
- Improve processes and workflows to make operations more efficient
- Promote collaboration and problem-solving, especially for customer issues
- Promote and maintain the organization's brand image and identity when dealing with customers
- Identify and resolve risks associated with the delivery and/or provision of customer contracts; manage client expectations throughout the contract
- Ensure overall client satisfaction
- Promote awareness of new products and services to accounts
- Other assigned work as required
Requirements
- College diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in Project Management is a strong asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service or project management, with at least 2 years in s supervisory or leadership role
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and project management tools (e.g. , Slack or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of scheduling, resource allocation, and performance metrics
- Skilled in risk management and issue resolution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with all levels of management, internal and external, and foster collaboration
Work Conditions
- Travel to off-site locations required
- Safety equipment will be required while at production facilities, e.g., CSA approved steel-toed safety boots, etc.
- Overtime as required
