General construction and miscellaneous steel installer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Installer to join our team, responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining various commercial structural components across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, construction, or related fields, with proficiency in rigging, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse installations requiring technical expertise and precision.

Duties

• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation of equipment and structures.
• Utilize rigging techniques to lift, position, and secure heavy components safely.
• Operate machinery such as forklifts, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and welding equipment (MIG and TIG) to facilitate installation tasks.
• Perform welding (MIG, TIG, welding) and machining operations to prepare parts for assembly.
• Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, drilling, assembling, and securing components.
• Measure materials perform basic math calculations to ensure precise fitting.
• Assist with construction activities including framing and structural assembly.
• Maintain safety standards by rigging properly and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of installation.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while ensuring quality standards are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing, construction, or mechanical installation roles.
• Proficiency with rigging techniques, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and use of hand/power tools.
• Knowledge of welding processes including MIG and Stick welding; experience with plasma cutting is a plus.
• Ability to operate machinery such as cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, and machining tools safely.
• Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and ductwork installation.
• Familiarity with schematics, basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding, rigging, crane operation, and general construction activities.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment requiring lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to read technical drawings accurately. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.46-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
