Key ResponsibilitiesFunctionalTechnical SEOSite Auditing: Conduct technical SEO audits and create prioritized implementation plans focused on crawlability, indexability, architecture, and mobile responsiveness.Pragmatic Optimization: Recommend and help implement improvements in common ecom and content stacks (e.g., Shopify, WordPress) for site speed, structured data, URL structure, and internal linking.Error Resolution: Identify technical issues and provide detailed, actionable recommendations.Content Optimization & StrategyContent Pipeline: Build keyword research, clustering, and keywordtoURL mapping to drive briefs and consistent content delivery.OnPage Optimization: Execute title/meta optimization, H1/H2 structure, and internal linking strategies.Localized Content: Develop market- and location-focused content plans aligned to neighborhood and regional search intent.Local SEOGBP and Listings: Own GBP hygiene, multilocation naming conventions, citations, and measurement.Location Pages: Optimize location pages and ensure accurate NAP and internal linking to improve local visibility.Measurement & ReportingKPI Alignment: Connect SEO work to business outcomes, including revenue, leads, assisted conversions, and LTV signals.ValueWeighted Rankings: Weight keyword movements by traffic/impressions where appropriate, not just position.Monthly Reporting: Clearly articulate shipped work, impact, and next steps.AI OptimizationAI Infrastructure: Implement structured data, schema markup, and LLM.txt files to optimize content discoverability across AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude); establish visibility baselines and referral tracking.AI-Ready Content: Adapt priority content to improve citation rates in AI responses through clear, authoritative formatting while maintaining strong traditional SEO performance and alignment with business KPIs.StrategicAccount & Client Relationship ManagementClient Communication: Own search and AI optimization communication with clients, setting clear expectations on scope, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics. CrossChannel Integration: Identify organic opportunities that improve paid efficiency and collaborate with paid media and analytics teams to reallocate budgets when organic can shoulder demand.Issue Identification: Proactively flag risks, dependencies, and performance concerns with clear solutions.Business SupportStrategy Development: Maintain roadmaps sourced from audits and performance data; adapt plans based on results.Process & Standards: Help standardize workflows, deliverables, and QA to improve efficiency and outcomes across SMB and enterprise accounts.Industry Awareness: Track algorithm and platform changes to inform recommendations.Team CollaborationSEO Team Leadership & Execution: Manage and mentor a small team of SEO specialists, providing direction, prioritization, and quality assurance to ensure deliverables are executed accurately, on time, and aligned with client objectives. CrossFunctional Collaboration: Partner with PM, analytics, and paid media to deliver integrated solutions.Knowledge Sharing: Document best practices and share learnings that improve team velocity and quality.Skills & QualificationsTechnical & Platform ExpertiseContent SEO: Keyword research, clustering, mapping, briefing, onpage optimization, internal linking.Local SEO: Local listing management, multilocation structure, localized content, and measurement.Technical SEO: Crawlability, indexability, site speed fundamentals, and structured data for SERP features.Measurement: GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, with the ability to map SEO work to commercial KPIs.Tools: Proficiency with SEMrush or Ahrefs, BrightLocal, Screaming Frog or similar; familiarity with Shopify/WordPress.Experience with AI optimization and enterprise stakeholder management.Soft SkillsCommunication: Clear, concise, and engaging written and verbal communication; able to translate SEO work into business value.Organization & Time Management: Manage multiple accounts and deliverables with consistency and quality.Critical Thinking & Adaptability: Diagnose issues quickly and propose pragmatic, impactdriven solutions.Client Service Orientation: Build trust through proactive updates, clarity, and reliability.Background & Experience5+ years in SEO with demonstrable results across SMB and enterprise environments.Experience supporting both physicallocation businesses and ecommerce.Track record of turning audits and roadmaps into shipped work tied to revenue and leads.Agency or hybrid experience working with PM, analytics, and paid media is a plus.CompensationSalary: $90,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.Profit sharing per PAZ policy.Working at PAZThe PAZ team is a highly skilled and motivated group of marketers and analysts who collaborate seamlessly.
