We are searching for an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, store, and retrieve inventory at various heights within our warehouse. Your expertise in operating specialized equipment will ensure the efficient organization and accessibility of our stock. Safety and precision are paramount in this position, making it ideal for a detail-oriented and skilled operator.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods in high-rise racking systems.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on the reach truck and report any issues.
- Accurately place inventory in designated storage locations and retrieve items for outbound orders.
- Assist with receiving and shipping activities as needed.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in work areas and racking systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the correct use of PPE.
- Support inventory management through accurate placement and retrieval of goods.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to optimize workflow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck with valid certification.
- Demonstrated ability to work at heights and navigate narrow aisles.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform other manual tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
