Job Summary:
Join our team in Madison, Wisconsin, as an Inventory Control Specialist and play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our inventory data. Your meticulous attention to detail is essential for identifying and resolving issues that impact our supply chain and Logistics. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory management principles and the ability to use warehouse management systems effectively. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to optimize inventory processes and minimize losses. Safety is paramount, and you must adhere to all Safety guidelines and utilize the correct PPE. Some tasks may involve moderate Lifting of inventory items.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits regularly.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
  • Process stock movements, adjustments, and returns.
  • Ensure proper organization and labeling of all inventory.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to uphold inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to all Safety regulations and procedures.
  • Use appropriate PPE when handling inventory.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory control techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle moderate Lifting.
  • Understanding of Logistics principles and supply chain management.
  • High level of accuracy and commitment to Safety.
