Our logistics facility in San Diego, California, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include receiving, unloading, stocking, and retrieving materials, as well as assisting with order fulfillment and preparing shipments. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all employees must strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and consistent Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Stock materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Retrieve materials for production, order fulfillment, or shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pack and prepare materials for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Participate in inventory management and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate various material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Capacity for consistent Lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
