About the role: The Debert Airport Manager reports to the Director of Public Works and is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and customer-focused operation of the airport. Duties will include coordination of day-to-day operations, tenant and lease management, liaison with regulatory agencies for continued compliance, coordination of maintenance activities, budget management, and support for growth and development of the airport. This is a 2-year term position with potential to become a full-time permanent position.
Salary Range: Range 9, $85,565-$101,709

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in aviation, airport management, business administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience);
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airport operations or related field;
- Demonstrated knowledge of working with Transport Canada's Canada Aviation Regulations;
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills;
- Experience in budgeting, lease management, and contractor oversight;
- Commercial pilot skills, an asset;
- Conditions of employment include a satisfactory criminal record check and valid NS driver's license
