Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Specialty Pharmacy (Katy) seeks an Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager to join our growing team
The Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager area(s) of responsibility may include management of pharmacy operations or clinical services. This position manages, implements, and coordinates comprehensive pharmacy operations and/or clinical pharmacy services programs that are aligned with the overall department program, integrating best practices, emphasizing the safety and outcome optimization of our patients, and delivers the highest value care to our patients and the organization. Responsible for managing personnel and budgeting resources to affect the coordinated delivery of Pharmacy services. Position ensures that all quality, legal, regulatory and accreditation standards are met. Promotes excellence based on department and organizational goals with a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and strategic vision, direction and priorities.Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy

Certifications:  Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Five (5) years pharmacy experience required OR completion PGY1/PGY2 residency in Pharmacy Administration.

  • Knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems and computer-assisted devices and familiarity with health care reimbursement environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.

  • Experience in quality improvement, financial management, strategic planning, project management, and team building skills.
