Our Indianapolis, Indiana location is seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee daily warehouse operations. This leadership role involves managing staff, coordinating workflows, and ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within our logistics hub. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to motivate a team. You will play a critical role in the overall success of our distribution efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff in daily tasks, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Coordinate warehouse activities to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity within the logistics framework.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy.
- Implement and enforce all warehouse Safety policies and procedures, ensuring a secure work environment.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, Safety protocols, and the use of PPE.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies as they arise.
- Liaise with other departments and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Must be able to assist with tasks involving heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs, when necessary.
