We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Chicago, Illinois. You will operate material handling equipment, facilitate the loading and unloading of trucks, and maintain organized storage of goods. Key responsibilities include receiving, identifying, sorting, and stocking materials, as well as preparing them for outbound shipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely.
- Load and unload all incoming and outgoing freight accurately.
- Move materials efficiently between different areas of the warehouse.
- Store inventory in designated locations according to WMS guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of all equipment used.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of all required PPE.
- Participate in inventory audits and cycle counting procedures.
- Comply with all workplace safety regulations and guidelines.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring timely material movement.
- Must be able to perform repetitive lifting of up to 70 lbs.
