Our Dallas, Texas facility is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within the warehouse. You will handle a variety of materials and products, ensuring they are stored, moved, and prepared for shipment accurately and safely. This position is fundamental to the efficient operation of our distribution center, supporting both receiving and shipping functions. A strong understanding of material handling equipment, safety protocols, and warehouse operations is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Verify quantities and identify materials being handled, ensuring accuracy.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, following established procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations of the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Experience operating various types of material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds regularly and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
