We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dedicated team in San Antonio, Texas. As Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping. This is a leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics and warehouse management. You will be responsible for motivating your team, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Your role will involve implementing and enforcing company policies, including stringent safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will also play a key role in process improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse supervision, exceptional leadership qualities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. This position involves occasional lifting, but primarily focuses on team management and operational oversight. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Ensure efficient workflow for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback.
- Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Address and resolve operational issues and employee concerns.
- Ensure adherence to proper use of PPE by all team members.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices, including PPE usage.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
