We are seeking an experienced and proactive Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to drive sales growth across a vast territory covering the Midwest/Central USA and Central Canada. This is a direct hire position with competitive base pay and fabulous earning potential. Compensation & Benefits: Expected Annual Total Compensation: Competitive salary, bonus, and incentive package ranging from $80,000 to $130,000. Territory Management & Sales Strategy: This role requires a high degree of independence and involves extensive travel (approximately 75%) to manage, maintain, and expand a book of business within the power line construction industry. Extensive Travel & Sales Execution: Travel extensively within the assigned territory to sell complex stringing and installation equipment used for overhead and underground transmission lines. Customer Consultation: Consult with potential customers to understand their critical project needs, identifying and suggesting equipment and services to meet those demands. Account Management: Monitor existing accounts, actively establish new leads, and cultivate customer preference to achieve ambitious sales growth targets. Technical Representation: Act as the company representative at trade association meetings, conduct detailed product demonstrations, and provide technical assistance regarding optimal equipment application and safety. Analysis & Quoting: Prepare detailed quotations and use sales data to project targets, determine profitability, and identify new market opportunities. Skills
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and other relevant sales tools. Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of successful outside sales experience is required. Proven experience selling highly complex, specialized products or services in a B2B environment, preferably within the power line construction or heavy equipment industry. Thorough knowledge of stringing equipment (pullers, tensioners, reel stands, etc.) and their application in transmission & distribution projects. Exceptional communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and extensive travel. Fluency in English is required; fluency in French (for the Canada territory) is beneficial. Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily (75%) by vehicle and plane.
