Our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our distribution center. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, automated systems, and other machinery integral to our logistics operations. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is essential, along with a commitment to preventative maintenance schedules. Your expertise will ensure that our warehouse runs smoothly and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. We require candidates who are proactive problem-solvers, possess excellent diagnostic skills, and are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of workplace safety, including the proper use of PPE and safe operating procedures for all equipment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to identify and address equipment needs.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for maintenance.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including the importance of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
