Join our growing logistics operation in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a Material Handler. We are seeking experienced individuals to manage the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical for maintaining the flow of goods from receiving to shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and other equipment, loading/unloading, and organizing inventory. A strong focus on safety, productivity, and teamwork is key. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products and materials to and from designated areas within the facility.
- Organize and stack inventory according to established procedures.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free from hazards.
- Strictly follow all company safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as directed.
- Ensure the efficient flow of materials to support logistics operations.
- This position requires consistent Lifting of materials, often up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a related warehouse role. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one is required. Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices. Must be physically capable of performing tasks that involve frequent Lifting, bending, and standing. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality are essential. Understanding of logistics principles is beneficial.
