Our Sacramento, California warehouse is seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and stocking received items in their proper locations. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are vital for success. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, proactive, and contribute to a positive and productive warehouse environment. This is a great chance to gain valuable experience in warehouse operations and logistics. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Verify contents of shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect received goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the WMS.
- Stage incoming inventory for put-away or distribution.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and procedures.
- Basic computer skills are beneficial.
