We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be essential in managing the flow of materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring everything is stored, moved, and prepared for shipment with efficiency and care. Your duties will encompass receiving goods, organizing inventory, and supporting the shipping process. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper inventory management and accessibility.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments according to order specifications.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe handling of all goods.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues to management promptly.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs, following safe lifting practices.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar warehouse machinery is a plus.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual labor.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
