Job Summary:
Our Durham, North Carolina branch is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is fundamental to the success of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting audits, analyzing discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock loss. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential. You must be proficient in using warehouse systems and adhering to all Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and stock audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points, coordinating with procurement.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports for management.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Establish and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize material flow.
  • Champion Safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all Safety regulations, including proper PPE usage.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles, best practices, and logistics.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to upholding high Safety standards.
  • Must be willing to wear and correctly use all required PPE.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
