Join our bustling warehouse in Chicago, Illinois, as a Warehouse Associate! We are seeking energetic and reliable individuals to support our comprehensive logistics operations. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately. This role is physically demanding, involving regular Lifting and movement throughout the warehouse. Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment is a top priority, and adherence to all Safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. We value teamwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming merchandise.
- Pick and pack customer orders with speed and accuracy.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and packaging.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Conduct inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ensure proper use of all assigned PPE.
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Strong commitment to Safety in the workplace.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Experience with RF scanners is beneficial.
- Proficiency in wearing and using required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
