Join our dynamic team as a Distribution Center Associate in Atlanta, Georgia! This role is the backbone of our logistics operations, responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of goods through our distribution center. You'll engage in various hands-on tasks, including receiving inbound shipments, meticulously stocking inventory, accurately picking and packing orders for customers, and preparing items for outgoing transport. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; all associates are expected to follow established safety procedures and wear the provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to accuracy, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the logistics and supply chain sector. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming merchandise against purchase orders.
- Sort, label, and stock inventory into appropriate warehouse locations.
- Pick customer orders accurately using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Prepare shipments for delivery, including staging and labeling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the distribution center floor and storage areas.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, utilizing provided PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds repeatedly. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of logistics principles is a plus. Must be a team player with good communication skills. We provide comprehensive safety training and all necessary PPE. This role offers a competitive hourly wage within the $16.00-$24.00 range, dependent on experience, and excellent potential for growth within our logistics network.
