We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, playing a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of goods entering our facility. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery vehicles, inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies, verifying received items against purchase orders, and properly documenting all inbound materials. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount in this role to maintain the integrity of our inventory and supply chain. You will be expected to operate basic warehouse equipment and maintain a clean and organized receiving area. Adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position involves physical activity, including moderate to heavy Lifting, and requires individuals who are organized, reliable, and possess strong communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers.
- Inspect all incoming shipments for damage and verify contents against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Accurately document all received goods into the inventory system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Stage received materials for distribution to appropriate departments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
- Follow all company safety protocols and logistics procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment and safety practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety and correct use of PPE.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
