Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Miami, Florida? We are seeking a certified and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our warehouse and contributes directly to our overall logistics and supply chain effectiveness. You will be responsible for ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload palletized or bulk materials from trailers, ensuring secure transport.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Accurately stack and retrieve materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any defects or issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock locations.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the proper wear and use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to optimize workflow and productivity within the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Commitment to workplace safety and mandatory use of PPE.
- Experience with WMS or RF scanning is a plus.
