We are seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our growing logistics operation in Orlando, Florida. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for managing all incoming inventory, ensuring its accuracy and proper handling. Your core duties will include unloading delivery vehicles, meticulously verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and other documentation, and conducting thorough inspections for any damage or discrepancies. Accurate and timely data entry into our inventory system is critical for maintaining efficient operations. We prioritize a safe work environment and provide comprehensive training on proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to following established procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers efficiently and safely.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against packing lists, purchase orders, and other required documentation.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for visible damage, shortages, or overages, and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately input receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage received products for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area in compliance with company standards.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as required, following all safety guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Physical capacity to perform frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and prolonged standing.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
