We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse. You will be responsible for a variety of technical tasks, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with the smooth flow of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arise during daily operations.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and meets safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management and stock placement as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities.
- Support other warehouse functions as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a warehouse technician or in a similar technical role is required.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina for periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE .
