We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of manual tasks related to the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. This is a crucial position that ensures the smooth flow of goods throughout our facility, supporting our overall logistics operations. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain an efficient and organized workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Moving materials from receiving to storage areas and to production or shipping stations.
- Operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Assembling and preparing materials for shipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Performing inventory counts and assisting with stock rotation.
- Identifying and reporting damaged or defective materials.
- Following all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
