We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our operations in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the inbound flow of goods, ensuring accurate documentation, and preparing items for storage or distribution. Your duties will include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and entering data into our inventory system. This position is critical to maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics chain. We are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. A commitment to Safety and efficiency is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for any damage or discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
- Tag and label incoming items for proper storage.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and protocols.
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all receiving operations.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 50 lbs, when handling shipments.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Understanding of warehouse receiving procedures and logistics.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe work environment.
