We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and documented accurately. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting our logistics operations. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders, and identifying any damages or discrepancies. This position involves physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. A strong commitment to safety, including the proper use of PPE, is essential. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, organized, and possess good communication skills. Experience with warehouse receiving processes and basic computer skills is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments efficiently and safely.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify quantities against shipping documents.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Organize and stage received goods for further processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and use appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed, supporting logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all receiving procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
