We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is critical for the efficient movement and management of materials within our warehouse and production areas. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials and finished goods, ensuring inventory accuracy and proper stock rotation. The Material Handler plays a key part in our logistics operations, utilizing various equipment to facilitate the smooth flow of goods. The ideal candidate possesses experience operating forklifts and other material handling machinery, along with a strong understanding of warehouse safety practices. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Receive, identify, and accurately store incoming materials.
- Accurately pick and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Maintain inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
- Ensure the safe handling and storage of all materials.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and consistently use required PPE.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting and moving of heavy items.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role. Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics. Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting. Excellent safety record. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
