We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently processing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining detailed records. This role is crucial in supporting our supply chain operations and guaranteeing that our products reach their destinations on time and in excellent condition. As a Shipping Clerk, you will interact with various departments, including inventory, sales, and carriers, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms where applicable. A keen eye for detail is paramount to avoid errors in order fulfillment and shipping. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics industry and contribute to a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with shipping software and knowledge of shipping regulations are highly beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and label outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment pickup and delivery.
- Maintain shipping logs and update tracking information.
- Inspect outgoing goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts as needed.
- Operate relevant shipping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and use of required PPE.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting throughout the workday.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred. Familiarity with shipping software. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer proficiency.
