We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Shipping Clerk in our Dallas, Texas facility. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth and timely dispatch of our products. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the shipping process, including documentation, carrier coordination, and order verification. A strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to stringent safety standards, including the mandatory use of PPE , is expected. If you are a proactive individual with experience in shipping operations and a good understanding of supply chain logistics , we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately, generating necessary paperwork such as bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Verify order details against shipped items to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate effectively with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any transit issues.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all shipments, including tracking information.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Inspect outgoing packages for correct labeling, packaging, and condition.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping department workspace.
- Uphold all company safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with receiving duties and other warehouse tasks, which may involve occasional manual lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role is required.
- Familiarity with shipping software and common warehouse management systems.
- Solid understanding of shipping procedures, documentation, and carrier requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines and wearing necessary PPE .
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
