Our growing logistics company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator. This is a key role responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will manage inventory levels, coordinate shipping and receiving activities, and supervise a team of warehouse staff. Your responsibilities will include developing work schedules, training new employees, and implementing process improvements to optimize workflow. A critical aspect of this role is upholding stringent safety standards, including ensuring all personnel correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety procedures. This position requires excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Significant physical activity, including lifting and moving materials, will be part of the daily routine. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
- Manage inventory control and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely shipments.
- Supervise and train warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of safety and productivity.
- Implement and enforce safety policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Resolve any operational issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or supervision.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing needs.
