Join our thriving logistics hub in Miami, Florida, as a Forklift Operator! We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of inventory, from receiving to dispatch. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and safely storing materials. A strong focus on Safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment, reporting any issues.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures meticulously, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas to ensure optimal workflow and Safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement as needed.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques for items handled manually.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Understand and contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Proven commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of proper handling and storage procedures.
