Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our state-of-the-art facility in San Francisco, California. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our extensive inventory, ensuring seamless operations within our logistics network. You will be responsible for implementing robust inventory management strategies, minimizing discrepancies, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to serve our customers effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed cycle counts and full physical inventories with high accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing permanent solutions.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS) daily.
  • Monitor inventory levels, analyze trends, and provide reports on stock status.
  • Oversee the receiving and put-away processes, ensuring proper product identification and placement.
  • Develop and implement enhanced inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse operations, purchasing, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure all inventory is handled, stored, and managed according to safety and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to inventory accuracy and stock rotation.
  • Lead initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
  • Uphold strict adherence to safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Advanced proficiency in WMS software and inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to manage tasks requiring moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and mentor others.
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
