Join our innovative team as a Warehouse Technician in sunny San Diego, California. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse facility and equipment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on various warehouse machinery, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated equipment. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is required. Your commitment to Safety and adherence to operational standards are critical. This position is a key component of our sophisticated Logistics network, and while not directly involved in constant Lifting , an understanding of material handling processes is beneficial. You must wear the appropriate PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Operate specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and protocols.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing.
- Assist in training warehouse associates on the proper use and care of equipment.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery operation is a plus, understanding the principles of Lifting and material movement.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of the warehouse operations.
- Understand basic Logistics workflows and how equipment impacts them.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunction calls.
- Maintain an organized tool inventory and workshop area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for equipment maintenance.
