Join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland as a Material Handler. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can contribute to the efficient flow of goods within our busy distribution center. As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that products are managed effectively from arrival to departure. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential. You will be working in a collaborative environment where every team member plays a vital part.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- Stock materials in designated locations accurately.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment according to packing slips.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, as needed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse safety.
- Participate in inventory counts and audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, material handling, or logistics role is desirable.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
